Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valentin Ştefoi started the match with the kick off. The CFR Pascani fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when CFR Pascani's Dumitru Pușcașu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of CFR Pascani booed when Cotofenescii FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Şoltuz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Valentin Ştefoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Păuceanu in the 16th minute of play forced CFR Pascani's goalkeeper Iurie Raţiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Ştefoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Zdrelea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, CFR Pascani's Florin Calota made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcel Zdrelea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ovidiu Harbuz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihail Şoltuz hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, CFR Pascani's Florin Calota got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Cotofenescii FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Calota came free, but Marcel Zdrelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dumitru Pușcașu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marcel Zdrelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cotofenescii FCM's zone, Florin Calota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Zdrelea came out of the goal and Florin Calota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Zdrelea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidiu Harbuz's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Florin Calota might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Zdrelea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florin Calota ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcel Zdrelea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Ştefoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Păuceanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ovidiu Harbuz scored 0-4 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Zdrelea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Florin Calota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Marcel Zdrelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, CFR Pascani's Valentin Ştefoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcel Zdrelea. Marcel Zdrelea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 70 minutes into the match, Pavel Caramarin notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of CFR Pascani's Iurie Raţiu. Iurie Raţiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iurie Raţiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Păuceanu in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Florin Calota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdinand Stratulat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iurie Raţiu. CFR Pascani's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ovidiu Harbuz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Marcel Zdrelea made a huge save. If Florin Calota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Ovidiu Harbuz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Florin Calota kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcel Zdrelea. That made the score 1-7 in the 96 minute of play. CFR Pascani played a much better game than Cotofenescii FCM and deserved their victory. The Cotofenescii FCM players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
