After 17 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Iraunkor. In the 26th match minute, Luceanca AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florin Siadbei to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Galatasaray's Iustinian Cosoroabă in action when he in the 27th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Wilfredo Iraunkor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucian Alexandroae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Bengtsson in the 36th minute of the match. Lucian Alexandroae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teddy Loisy, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Wilfredo Iraunkor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Alexandroae having to interfere. Wilfredo Iraunkor took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucian Alexandroae. Lucian Alexandroae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Teddy Loisy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Luceanca AS's Costel Zota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ştefan Morozan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Obregia during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gabriel Obregia hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Teddy Loisy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Segura to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Iraunkor in the 95th minute of play forced Luceanca AS's goalkeeper Lucian Alexandroae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucian Alexandroae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Loisy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 99 minutes into the match, Teddy Loisy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucian Alexandroae. Luceanca AS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teddy Loisy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Galatasaray fully deserved thier win.
