After 14 minutes of play, Lapus's Cristian Senin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stelian Aronescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 18 in the game by Cristian Senin from a close distance when the talented Stelian Aronescu managed to make a qualified save. Romanian Patriots's players were relieved. Stelian Aronescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Praporgescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lapus booed when Romanian Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Cosoreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Lapus and the Romanian Patriots players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Romanian Patriots booed when Lapus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Zbârlea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Stelian Aronescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th match minute, Romanian Patriots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Mironescu to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Romanian Patriots defense, Cristian Senin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stelian Aronescu. The Romanian Patriots fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stelian Aronescu should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Romanian Patriots's goalkeeper Stelian Aronescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Senin. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Verzeanu to make the kick off. If Cristian Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihail Buligan struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Stelian Aronescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapus. 95 minutes into the match, Romanian Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Senin came free, but Stelian Aronescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Lapus players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
