Olimpiu Coporan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mugur Posteucă's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 6th match minute, Arsenal Londra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihăiţă Ciompec to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iacob Pârcălab in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olimpiu Coporan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iacob Pârcălab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Corneliu Alexandru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Penes's goalkeeper Petruț Georgescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Stan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Georgescu having to interfere. Valentin Stan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Arsenal Londra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Iacob to maneuver through the defense. Iacob Pârcălab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Coporan having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Penes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Griguță to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Stan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Petruț Georgescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dragoş Iacob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Arsenal Londra's Valentin Stan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petruț Georgescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iacob Pârcălab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Olimpiu Coporan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gigi Steriopol to make the kick off. Petruț Georgescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Steriopol, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Arsenal Londra defense, Iacob Pârcălab kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olimpiu Coporan. The Arsenal Londra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olimpiu Coporan should have stopped the shot. Iacob Pârcălab succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 57th playminute. Petruț Georgescu came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal Londra's Valentin Stan. But to his dismay, Valentin Stan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Arsenal Londra's Olimpiu Coporan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal Londra from getting a goal against them. Petruț Georgescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Stan in the 71st minute of play. Arsenal Londra's Valentin Stan got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, Penes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toader Nica to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Șerban Gheorghiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petruț Georgescu skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute, Iosif Dănănae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Stan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Petruț Georgescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mugur Posteucă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Coporan having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Penes's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Stan came free, but Petruț Georgescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Penes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
