Marcel Bântu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.Petrolul Ploiesti. Marcel Bântu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Chirtoacă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C.Petrolul Ploiesti's Costin Vădan got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Costin Vădan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Bântu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dacian Bitang during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC. Cluj-Napoca's Dacian Bitang got a free kick in the 87th minute. FC. Cluj-Napoca's Marcel Bântu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Chirtoacă in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Iulian Chirtoacă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC. Cluj-Napoca's Marcel Bântu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the match, F.C.Petrolul Ploiesti's Costin Vădan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcel Bântu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The FC. Cluj-Napoca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
