The tension between the Striharet and the Biohazard Galati players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Striharet's Eusebiu Codin got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 9 minutes into the game, Felix Popic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Striharet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Biohazard Galati the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Striharet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Popic to maneuver through the defense. Francisc Micescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Bobeica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ernest Petrică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisc Micescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Striharet's Francisc Micescu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Biohazard Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Micescu came free, but Sergiu Mihăilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Biohazard Galati's Dumitru Săvescu was substituted for Narcis Ştirbu. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Nisipeanu was the one to do the kick off. Biohazard Galati's Aurelian Tincu was substituted for Anton Nistorescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Arieșan in the 63rd minute of play forced Striharet's goalkeeper Ernest Petrică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Martin Nisipeanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergiu Mihăilă. The goal made the score 0-1. Virgil Arieșan scored 1-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernest Petrică, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toader Rednic's late challenge caught a Striharet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toader Rednic helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Biohazard Galati getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Toader Rednic hit a great ball. Biohazard Galati's Sergiu Mihăilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Nisipeanu in the 78th minute of play. Dumitru Săvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Petrică having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Striharet got a freekick which was hit by Eusebiu Corlățean. Francisc Micescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute Dumitru Săvescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Petrică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Popic hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
