Bogdan Stejaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Dorel Călin made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Lucrețiu Agrigoroaiei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galaţi AS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Costel Trişcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Codrin Tănăsocă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristide Ciolofan during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Szekely FC's Olimpiu Isvoreanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Codrin Tănăsocă. That made the score 2-2 after 55 minutes of play. 60 minutes into the game, Lucrețiu Agrigoroaiei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Dorel Călin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Costel Trişcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Galaţi AS got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Tilea. 66 minutes into the match, Galaţi AS's goalkeeper Codrin Tănăsocă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costel Trişcu. In the 67th minute, Mugur Bulzan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Galaţi AS's Aurelian Cârnu got a free kick in the 76th minute. Bogdan Stejaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorel Călin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Nae Miniș hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Bogdan Stejaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dorel Călin having to make a save. Lucrețiu Agrigoroaiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dorel Călin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galaţi AS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
