In the 13th minute Ionel Chivulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Tuleiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Basarab Mitruț shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moise Dumitru showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC.TOY's Sorin Brădean got a free kick in the 16th minute. Moise Dumitru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iacob Jula, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of FC.TOY:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA:s goal. Olimpiu Pascaru walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Iacob Jula struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Moise Dumitru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA. In the 36th match minute, FC.TOY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Tincu to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes, Sorin Brădean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC.TOY and the FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 minutes, Horea Tincu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC.TOY and the FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iacob Jula stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Corneliu Cruceru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moise Dumitru was a little too slow when Iacob Jula got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-2. 57 minutes into the match, FC.TOY's goalkeeper Moise Dumitru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corneliu Cruceru. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionel Chivulescu in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Tuleiu saved FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA from getting behind. Ionel Chivulescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Tuleiu having to make a save. In the 62nd minute Lucian Mărculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Tuleiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 64th minute of the match Sorin Brădean completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sorin Brădean a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
