Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iacob Jula in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Giurăscu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iacob Jula in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aron Giurăscu saved F.C. BUDENI from getting behind. Adam Tuleiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidiu Condescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Valentin Văcaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Adam Tuleiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Iacob Jula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, F.C. BUDENI's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Jula came free, but Aron Giurăscu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corneliu Cruceru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Corneliu Cruceru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Văcaru in the 27th minute of play forced FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Adam Tuleiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corneliu Cruceru's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aron Giurăscu firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 30th minute, Iacob Jula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Augustin Săndoi hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Corneliu Cruceru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Valentin Văcaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corneliu Cruceru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Giurăscu having to interfere. In the 45th of the match, Iacob Jula tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Aron Giurăscu got in the way and made a wonderful save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valentin Văcaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Aron Giurăscu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Cruceru, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. F.C. BUDENI's Aron Giurăscu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Jula in the 62nd minute of play. Corneliu Cruceru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Iacob Jula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iacob Jula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Văcaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Valentin Văcaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Tuleiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BUDENI's goalkeeper Aron Giurăscu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Corneliu Cruceru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aron Giurăscu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. BUDENI's zone, Iacob Jula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Giurăscu came out of the goal and Iacob Jula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliodor Gușatu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA had played much better football throughout.
