Mihail Aldulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Călin having to interfere. When Iacob Horațiu fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szekely FC's protests and gave Iacob Horațiu a yellow card for diving instead. Lucian Voinescu made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Flavius Birișu sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Szekely FC's Costel Trişcu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucian Voinescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Szekely FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Cozmâncă came free, but Dorel Călin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szekely FC's goalkeeper Dorel Călin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcel Turlea kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Marcel Turlea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodor Cozmâncă to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Szekely FC got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Isvoreanu. Teodor Cozmâncă hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Mihail Aldulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Szekely FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Costel Trişcu hit a great ball. Teodor Cozmâncă made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 67thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Dorel Călin would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Szekely FC's Dorel Călin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Nițu in the 74th minute of play.
