Corneliu Crucerus short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Narcis Ispas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Corneliu Cruceru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Damian Dumitrachescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Iacob Jula fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Narcis Ispas, passed just outside the right post. FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's Adam Tuleiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Dumitrachescu in the 26th minute of play. When Damian Dumitrachescu came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the CsMotru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Dumitrachescu couldn't finish the play. Fabian Butnaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Dumitrachescu in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Tuleiu saved FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA from getting behind. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 1-1. CsMotru's Fabian Butnaru got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Fabian Butnaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CsMotru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Butnaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corneliu Cruceru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Ispas having to interfere. Narcis Ispas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Jula in the 72nd minute of the match. Tiberiu Cozac's late challenge caught a FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiberiu Cozac helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA booed when CsMotru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Tuleiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Dumitrachescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
