Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Romeo Bociort started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Liviu Tilincă might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorin Stoleru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liviu Tilincă ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 5th minute, Romeo Bociort got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Poroina booed when FC Stiinta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Ilieș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Liviu Tilincă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Stiinta's Dorin Stoleru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liviu Tilincă took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dorin Stoleru. Dorin Stoleru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Valeriu Sârban could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Fabian Stârcea however easily saved by the left post. Valeriu Sârban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Stârcea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Ghimiș's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, FC Stiinta's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Tilincă came free, but Dorin Stoleru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poroina's Liviu Tilincă got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Călin Măgherușan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Bociort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Daniel Ghimiș recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Stârcea. Daniel Ghimiș showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Ghimiș to make the kick off. If Daniel Ghimiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54thth minute of the game Daniel Ghimiș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poroina's Fabian Stârcea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabian Stârcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Sârban in the 60th minute of play. Fabian Stârcea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valeriu Sârban's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Liviu Tilincă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Ghimiș in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Stârcea saved Poroina from getting behind. Valeriu Sârban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 74 minutes, Daniel Ghimiș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Stiinta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Ghimiș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Stiinta booed when Poroina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Petre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Stârcea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Ghimiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Valeriu Sârban cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fabian Stârcea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Valeriu Sârban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciprian Ştercă during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Valeriu Sârban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Stârcea was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After 86 played minutes Poroina got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Sântimbrean. FC Stiinta's Daniel Ghimiș got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Stiinta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
