With a left leg Paul Antohi saved STEAUA PLOIESTI from getting behind. When Alexandru Boldur fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA PLOIESTI's protests and gave Alexandru Boldur a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kadirlez booed when STEAUA PLOIESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandru Boldur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Antohi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Murgoci, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Paul Antohi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Murgoci in the 25th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Manuel Bârza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Antohi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Grigore Murgoci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Antohi was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Paul Antohi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Murgoci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Alexandru Boldur hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Prodan during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kadirlez's George Prodan got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Paul Antohi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grigore Murgoci's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Paul Antohi came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Kadirlez's Grigore Murgoci. But to his dismay, Grigore Murgoci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Iurie Haidău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Claudiu Muncelean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iurie Haidău struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Paul Antohi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kadirlez. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Grigore Murgoci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kadirlez's supporters rose to their feet, but Grigore Murgoci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Antohi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grigore Murgoci in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Antohi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexandru Boldur hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Grigore Murgoci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Antohi having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match, Manuel Bârza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paul Antohi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Paul Antohi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 96 minutes, Emanuel Zăreanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kadirlez and the STEAUA PLOIESTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kadirlez's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
