Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Claudiu Muncelean made the kick off and thus started the match. After some careless play in the Poroina defense, Claudiu Muncelean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Stârcea. The Poroina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Stârcea should have stopped the shot. Romeo Bociort struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Paul Antohi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poroina. The supporters of Poroina booed when STEAUA PLOIESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigore Ciprian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Antohi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Bociort's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When Cătălin Ghițulescu fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA PLOIESTI's protests and gave Cătălin Ghițulescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, STEAUA PLOIESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Ghițulescu to maneuver through the defense. Grigore Ciprian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Stârcea having to interfere. Fabian Stârcea came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by STEAUA PLOIESTI's Claudiu Muncelean. But to his dismay, Claudiu Muncelean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Claudiu Muncelean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Stârcea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Romeo Bociort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Paul Antohi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Poroina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavius Tutuianu to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romeo Bociort to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Romeo Bociort left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poroina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Claudiu Muncelean managed to get in a good position for a shot. STEAUA PLOIESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudiu Muncelean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Stârcea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Antohi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Bociort in the 69th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, STEAUA PLOIESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigore Ciprian to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute of the match Gigel Petrea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Antohi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Filip Lăzărescu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Fabian Stârcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Muncelean, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Claudiu Muncelean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeo Bociort took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Antohi. Paul Antohi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4.
