Spectators: 7647 (Terracing: 5738, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Matei Ursu made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Kadirlez's Grigore Murgoci got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Iași's zone, Grigore Murgoci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doru Vasiliu came out of the goal and Grigore Murgoci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Grigore Murgoci could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Doru Vasiliu however easily saved by the left post. Iurie Haidău received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Doru Vasiliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Grigore Murgoci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doru Vasiliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Ilie Strungă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iași and the Kadirlez players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ilie Strungă hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Iași was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Strungă to maneuver through the defense. Grigore Zbârcea's late challenge caught a Iași's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grigore Zbârcea helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kadirlez getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Grigore Zbârcea hit a great ball. Doru Vasiliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Haidău, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Grigore Murgoci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Doru Vasiliu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Grigore Murgoci kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Iași's keeper Doru Vasiliu was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. During the 44th minute of the match Ilie Strungă completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ilie Strungă a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 45th minute, Ilie Strungă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Grigore Murgoci made the kick off in the second half. Kadirlez's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Grigore Murgoci in the 53rd minute. Grigore Murgoci made a great header on Kadirlez's corner, it was just that Iași's Doru Vasiliu managed to reach the ball for a save. After 55 minutes of play, Kadirlez's Iurie Haidău made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doru Vasiliu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Doru Vasiliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Murgoci in the 58th minute of the match. Dacian Potocianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Emanuel Stroescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Marcel Vlaicu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Stroescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 72nd minute, Dacian Potocianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grigore Zbârcea kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Dacian Potocianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Emanuel Stroescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Vasiliu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grigore Murgoci's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Iași's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Bârza came free, but Doru Vasiliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iași's Doru Vasiliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Haidău in the 91st minute of play.
