Dacian Potocianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Alungulesei having to interfere. Denis Alungulesei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dacian Potocianu's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Matei Ursu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Denis Alungulesei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marius Tatu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes of play, Trollibus's Alin Marchiș made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doru Vasiliu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matei Ursu in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denis Alungulesei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dacian Potocianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alin Marchiș succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Chifu in the 30th minute of play forced Iași's goalkeeper Doru Vasiliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alin Marchiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nichifor Chifu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doru Vasiliu having to interfere. 45 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Trollibus's Nichifor Chifu fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. A collision led to Iași getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Marcel Vlaicu hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matei Ursu to make the kick off. Nichifor Chifu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Tudor Zbârlea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nichifor Chifu in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doru Vasiliu saved Iași from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matei Ursu in the 69th minute of play forced Trollibus's goalkeeper Denis Alungulesei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doru Vasiliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Chifu in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dacian Potocianu got free with Denis Alungulesei in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dacian Potocianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
