But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Alexandrescu couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Monosfalva's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Alexandrescu came free, but Robert Dorlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Dorlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Alexandrescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Robert Dorlea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doru Lupoaia in the 22nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Gigel Mercea in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Monosfalva's Augustin Curăreanu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Logofeteanu in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigi Groșan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iordache Tudorache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigi Groșan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When Augustin Curăreanu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Monosfalva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Curăreanu couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Horea Alexandrescu made the kick off in the second half. Robert Dorlea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horea Alexandrescu went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Gigel Elefterescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Gigi Groșan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Monosfalva booed when Supanu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Mercea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Augustin Curăreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Groșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Curăreanu got free with Gigi Groșan in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gigel Elefterescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Supanu AC's Gigi Groșan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Supanu AC from getting a goal against them. Monosfalva's Robert Dorlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Alexandrescu in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Monosfalva's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Pătrășcanu came free, but Robert Dorlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Augustin Curăreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monosfalva's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Curăreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
