In the 12th minute, Iacob Măndica made a precise shot to the right of Alin Turcu. Rosenau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gigi Groșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Stătescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 22nd minute Gigel Pantiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Groșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Pantiș in the 26th minute of play forced Supanu AC's goalkeeper Gigi Groșan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nistor Stătescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Supanu AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nistor Stătescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gigi Groșan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Pantiș in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Stătescu in the 41st minute of play forced Supanu AC's goalkeeper Gigi Groșan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horea Alexandrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alin Turcu having to interfere. Eusebiu Răducan got his second yellow card in the match during the 48th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Supanu AC! The referee gave Rosenau a penalty, 51 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Iustin Gherdan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Supanu AC's Gigi Groșan. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Gigel Pantiș made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Emanuel Conta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Gigi Groșan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gigel Pantiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gigi Groșan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Supanu AC's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Pantiș came free, but Gigi Groșan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigel Pantiș's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigi Groșan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. If Doru Lupoaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Supanu AC's zone, Emanuel Conta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Groșan came out of the goal and Emanuel Conta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gigi Groșan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Pantiș in the 92nd minute of play. Gigi Groșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Tomozei, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Rosenau could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Supanu AC throughout the match.
