If Dinu Stanciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Fabian Prelipceanu from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Valer Țâpu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Iacob Măndica was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Lucrețiu Vâlcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doru Lupoaia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Valer Țâpu made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horea Alexandrescu to make the kick off. Supanu AC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Pietroasele CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iacob Măndica took the corner. The corner led Supanu AC's Iacob Măndica to fire away a dangerous shot which Valer Țâpu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 57th minute Doru Lupoaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Țâpu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigi Groșan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinu Stanciu went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Supanu AC's Gigi Groșan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Supanu AC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 71 minutes, Dinu Stanciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pietroasele CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Stanciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gigi Groșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Lupoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Doru Lupoaia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Narcis Lupoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Groșan having to interfere. The supporters of Pietroasele CF booed when Supanu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Măndica didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horea Alexandrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Valer Țâpu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doru Lupoaia in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valer Țâpu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Narcis Lupoi came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Pietroasele CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narcis Lupoi couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Supanu AC's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Lupoi came free, but Gigi Groșan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dinu Stanciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pietroasele CF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
