Tiberiu Ghiță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gavril Irimia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Chircu in the 12th minute of play forced Shadows Team's goalkeeper Alexandru Bologa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiberiu Ghiță got free with Gavril Irimia in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tiberiu Ghiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavril Irimia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Blăjan in the 21st minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Mihnea Mârza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Fc Steaua were awarded a corner. Nicu Călin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Nicu Călin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alexandru Bologa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Shadows Team's zone, Manuel Chircu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandru Bologa came out of the goal and Manuel Chircu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Manuel Chircu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Chircu to strike the kick off in the second half. Shadows Team's Tiberiu Ghiță got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fc Steaua's Manuel Chircu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Sandu Cipău kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Tiberiu Ghiță might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavril Irimia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiberiu Ghiță ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the game, Aristide Blăjan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gavril Irimia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manuel Chircu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Bologa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Blăjan in the 68th minute of play forced Fc Steaua's goalkeeper Gavril Irimia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Steaua's Gavril Irimia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Ghiță in the 69th minute of play. Gavril Irimia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Blăjan in the 71st minute of the match. Cezar Bălace kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Aristide Blăjan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Shadows Team's Tiberiu Ghiță sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gavril Irimia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sandu Cipău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Bologa having to interfere. Alexandru Bologa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Chircu in the 91st minute of play.
