Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gelu Vuşcan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Horea Alexandrescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Doru Lupoaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gigi Groșan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Todericiu in the 21st minute of the match. Supanu AC's Gigi Groșan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Vuşcan in the 28th minute of play. If Gelu Vuşcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gelu Vuşcan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Supanu AC's Gigi Groșan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Supanu AC's zone, Irinel Todericiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Groșan came out of the goal and Irinel Todericiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Todericiu in the 48th minute of play forced Supanu AC's goalkeeper Gigi Groșan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horea Alexandrescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Irinel Todericiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gigi Groșan made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, FC GLORIA BUZĂU's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Alexandrescu came free, but Eugen Crișan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Irinel Todericiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Irinel Todericiu got free with Gigi Groșan in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th match minute, FC GLORIA BUZĂU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihăiţă Măndica to maneuver through the defense. Gigi Groșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Vuşcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Horea Alexandrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Eugen Crișan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
