Spectators: 7513 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Vuşcan in the 3rd minute of play forced Viitorul Constanta's goalkeeper Romeo Panescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC GLORIA BUZĂU's Irinel Todericiu got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC GLORIA BUZĂU's zone, Silviu Săndoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugen Crișan came out of the goal and Silviu Săndoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When David Miclescu came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Viitorul Constanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Miclescu couldn't finish the play. Silviu Săndoi struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Eugen Crișan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viitorul Constanta. 14 minutes into the game, Doru Vornicescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viitorul Constanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GLORIA BUZĂU the free kick. A collision led to Viitorul Constanta getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Doru Vornicescu hit a great ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Irinel Todericiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC GLORIA BUZĂU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Todericiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Viitorul Constanta's David Miclescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugen Crișan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Irinel Todericiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Romeo Panescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irinel Todericiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as FC GLORIA BUZĂU's Gelu Vuşcan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romeo Panescu. That made the score 2-1 after 43 minutes of play. Romeo Panescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Vuşcan in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silviu Săndoi to make the kick off. David Miclescu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. After 69 played minutes FC GLORIA BUZĂU got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Măndica. 73 minutes into the match, FC GLORIA BUZĂU's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Săndoi came free, but Eugen Crișan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Irinel Todericiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Panescu having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Silviu Săndoi took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Eugen Crișan to make any attempt to save it. Romeo Panescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Vuşcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gelu Vuşcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Romeo Panescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, FC GLORIA BUZĂU's Irinel Todericiu made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Panescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mihăiţă Măndica hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Eugen Crișan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silviu Săndoi's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Irinel Todericiu's late challenge caught a Viitorul Constanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irinel Todericiu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Viitorul Constanta booed when FC GLORIA BUZĂU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Todericiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silviu Săndoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Crișan having to interfere. FC GLORIA BUZĂU's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
