SErioXul's Cornel Grozăvescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Ghiță in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Shadows Team's zone, Iurie Coșeriu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandru Bologa came out of the goal and Iurie Coșeriu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iurie Coșeriu struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Alexandru Bologa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SErioXul. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Rânceanu in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandru Bologa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iurie Coșeriu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Alexandru Bologa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Shadows Team got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Bălace. In the 25th minute Remus Rânceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandru Bologa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Ghiță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Grozăvescu having to interfere. In the 33rd play minute Iurie Coșeriu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alexandru Bologa. 1-0. The supporters of Shadows Team booed when SErioXul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Scripcaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Shadows Team's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Rânceanu came free, but Alexandru Bologa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match, Remus Rânceanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alexandru Bologa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Cornel Grozăvescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Blăjan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Aristide Blăjan came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Shadows Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristide Blăjan couldn't finish the play. Aristide Blăjan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Ghiță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cornel Grozăvescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alexandru Bologa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Rânceanu in the 80th minute of play. If Remus Rânceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Rânceanu in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Remus Rânceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tiberiu Ghiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
