If Tiberiu Ghiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristide Blăjan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dorin Cubleșan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Ştefan Crușeveanu made a precise shot to the right of Alexandru Bologa. Shadows Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Iustin Sandu kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ştefan Crușeveanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C. Universitatea Cluj's Mugur Dragomir got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shadows Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristide Blăjan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Mugur Dragomir came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the F.C. Universitatea Cluj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Dragomir couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristide Blăjan in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorin Cubleșan saved F.C. Universitatea Cluj from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aristide Blăjan made a kick off. F.C. A collision led to Shadows Team getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Isac Martinaș hit a great ball. After 58 minutes, Cezar Bălace mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shadows Team and the F.C. Universitatea Cluj players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cezar Bălace kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match Cezar Armanca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandru Bologa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Shadows Team's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Dragomir came free, but Alexandru Bologa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Iustin Sandu fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Universitatea Cluj's protests and gave Iustin Sandu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Shadows Team booed when F.C. Universitatea Cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustin Sandu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shadows Team's Aristide Blăjan got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ştefan Crușeveanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandru Bologa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Crușeveanu in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Ţirpescu in the 97th minute of play forced Shadows Team's goalkeeper Alexandru Bologa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Shadows Team players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented F.C. Universitatea Cluj from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
