Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silviu Bociort started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantin Filip in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristide Răuțu saved Barcelona from getting behind. In the 3rd minute, Costin Vârlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristide Răuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Filip in the 7th minute of play. Paul Berca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Răuțu having to interfere. Paul Berca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aristide Răuțu came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Yassi's Paul Berca. But to his dismay, Paul Berca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Sorin Bogdan put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yassi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Anton Sorin placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Alin Argăseală received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Olimpiu Maghear tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantin Filip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Răuțu having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Marin Todericiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristide Răuțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Filip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes of play, Yassi's Constantin Filip made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aristide Răuțu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Barcelona booed when Yassi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Ostoici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pompiliu Jupâneanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristide Răuțu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Silviu Bociort fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Maghear having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantin Filip stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olimpiu Maghear made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Bociort in the 53rd minute of play. Yassi's Constantin Filip got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olimpiu Maghear showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Argăseală in the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Pompiliu Jupâneanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yassi's supporters rose to their feet, but Pompiliu Jupâneanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristide Răuțu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpiu Maghear took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Bociort, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Yassi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Yassi's zone, Alin Argăseală stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olimpiu Maghear came out of the goal and Alin Argăseală tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silviu Bociort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Olimpiu Maghear tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Filip got free with Aristide Răuțu in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yassi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
