The audience thought a goal was coming when Moise Chitimia got free with Cornel Tănăsie in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 23 minutes, Nae Mihăescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Unirea Urziceni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nae Mihăescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. Litoral Corbu's Isac Avramescu pulled a muscle in his leg after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidiu Iuga during the 29th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Cornel Stoicea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornel Tănăsie skillfully saved the ball. If Cosmin Datcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moise Chitimia to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Moise Chitimia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Tănăsie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Unirea Urziceni's Moise Chitimia got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Litoral Corbu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cornel Tănăsie. In the 90th match minute, FC Unirea Urziceni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Iuga to maneuver through the defense. Moise Chitimia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Cornel Tănăsie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Unirea Urziceni had played much better football throughout.
