Litoral Corbu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Udurbac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iurie Cristian struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Cornel Tănăsie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marin Boteanu during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Marin Boteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Iurie Cristian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Bogdan Crețulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Iurie Cristian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulm's supporters rose to their feet, but Iurie Cristian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornel Tănăsie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornel Tănăsie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iurie Cristian's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Cornel Tănăsie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Şunda in the 84th minute of play. Ulm's Codrin Magherescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Ulm from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ulm getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Iustin Agârbiceanu hit a great ball. When Rareș Zâncă, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 92 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Codrin Magherescu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 94 minutes, Bogdan Crețulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Litoral Corbu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogdan Crețulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the F.C. Litoral Corbu defense, Costică Şunda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornel Tănăsie. The F.C. Litoral Corbu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornel Tănăsie should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ulm fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C. Litoral Corbu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
