Codrin Magherescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Ulm's Costică Şunda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alin Ulici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 44 minutes of play, Ficații's Mircea Giosu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Codrin Magherescu was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Mircea Giosu made the kick off in the second half. Alin Ulici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Şunda in the 53rd minute of the match. Costică Şunda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iurie Cristian scored 2-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alin Ulici, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Iurie Cristian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alin Ulici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Cristian, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Alin Ulici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Cristian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iustin Agârbiceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alin Ulici read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Ulm's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tudor Jder in the 78th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tudor Jder got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alin Ulici quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Costică Şunda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alin Ulici having to make a save. Costică Şunda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alin Ulici having to interfere.
