If Gică Ungur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, FC SIRINHO's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Ungur came free, but Tiberiu Săliştean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC SIRINHO defense, Sebastian Lăcătușu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiberiu Săliştean. The FC SIRINHO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiberiu Săliştean should have stopped the shot. Tiberiu Săliştean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Lăcătușu in the 41st minute. If Sebastian Lăcătușu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pogon Szczecin's Gică Ungur got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gică Ungur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. During this time Pogon Szczecin's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Pogon Szczecin's corner Nichifor Boldișor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tiberiu Săliştean quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nechifor Chiper during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
