In the 9th match minute, Pogon Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Lăcătușu to maneuver through the defense. Ernest Vrejiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Blăniță in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Steluta Darmanesti's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Ungur came free, but Aurelian Tâbârnă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudiu Blăniță to make the kick off. Cristinel Coșeriu spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pogon Szczecin's goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gică Ungur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pogon Szczecin's supporters rose to their feet, but Gică Ungur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelian Tâbârnă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes in the game, Sebastian Lăcătușu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Sebastian Lăcătușu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gică Ungur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Tâbârnă having to interfere.
