Filip Gheție walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Virgil Nebunu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Steaua's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgil Nebunu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavius Gheară breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th play minute Virgil Nebunu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Flavius Gheară. 1-0. 43 minutes into the match, CS.GLORIA CTP ARAD's goalkeeper Flavius Gheară had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgil Nebunu. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, CS.GLORIA CTP ARAD's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Goicea came free, but Flavius Gheară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Virgil Nebunu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Steaua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgil Nebunu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavius Gheară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Goicea in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, FC Steaua's Costin Goicea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavius Gheară made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 71 minutes of play CS.GLORIA CTP ARAD's Sorin Şerban was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Iacob Buteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Rareș Dumitru made a huge save. Virgil Nebunu took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavius Gheară. Flavius Gheară dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When FC Steaua's Virgil Nebunu in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
