Manole Uzuneanu scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iosif Zegreanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 17 minutes, Bogdan Oncu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ACSMU Poli and the Romania players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Romania booed when ACSMU Poli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Oncu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes Romania got a freekick which was hit by Adam Brănescu. In the 19thth minute of the game Bogdan Oncu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Romania's Iosif Zegreanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Leonard Lițiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Lițiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Bogdan Oncu made a precise shot to the right of Iosif Zegreanu. Romania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Manole Isvoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Chindriș came free, but Iosif Zegreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bogdan Oncu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iosif Zegreanu. That made the score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. ACSMU Poli's Bogdan Oncu got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 45 minutes, Leonard Lițiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Oncu made a kick off. Iosif Zegreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Uzuneanu in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Romania getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Aron Beniuc hit a great ball. If Bogdan Oncu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Manole Isvoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogdan Oncu in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iosif Zegreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Uzuneanu in the 67th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Iosif Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes of play, ACSMU Poli's Bogdan Oncu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iosif Zegreanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Manole Uzuneanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iosif Zegreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iosif Zegreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Oncu in the 96th minute of the match. Romania's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
