Claudiu Urdăreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Zegreanu having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Romania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Sticlaru to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes in the game, Claudiu Urdăreanu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Iosif Zegreanu having to interfere. Leonard Lițiu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Romania's goalkeeper Iosif Zegreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilie Burghelea. In the 26th minute, Claudiu Urdăreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 29 played minutes, Zorlincior's Iustin Bitănescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iosif Zegreanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zorlincior reached it. 31 minutes into the match, Irinel Vancea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iosif Zegreanu. Romania's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Irinel Vancea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Constantin Tache fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zorlincior's protests and gave Constantin Tache a yellow card for diving instead. Constantin Tache hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Claudiu Urdăreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilie Burghelea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 2-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Claudiu Urdăreanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ilie Burghelea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zorlincior's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilie Burghelea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iosif Zegreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Urdăreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Iosif Zegreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilie Burghelea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ionică Diculescu came free in the 56th minute and tried to tip the ball over Mass Panico, but to the joy of Zorlincior's supporters the ball went over. Claudiu Urdăreanu took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iosif Zegreanu. Iosif Zegreanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Ilie Burghelea came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Zorlincior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilie Burghelea couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the game, Zorlincior's Irinel Vancea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iosif Zegreanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Zorlincior's Claudiu Urdăreanu in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 92nd minute, Leonard Lițiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudiu Urdăreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
