An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Sabin Chioreanu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Jugani's Marian Gligor got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Radu Torouţ got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th match minute, Zagavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Mănescu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Chioreanu in the 39th minute of play forced Zagavia's goalkeeper Maxim Giurăscu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Armanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Torouţ in the 40th minute of play. Iacob Mănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Sebastian Culcer fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zagavia's protests and gave Sebastian Culcer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zagavia's Sebastian Culcer got a free kick in the 51st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabin Chioreanu in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim Giurăscu saved Zagavia from getting behind. Ferdinand Armanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Torouţ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66thth minute of the game Sabin Chioreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zagavia's Maxim Giurăscu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Zagavia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dan Stănciulescu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Jugani's Sabin Chioreanu got a free kick in the 68th minute. Edgar Calini kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Culcer got free with Ferdinand Armanca in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Zagavia's Radu Torouţ dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Sebastian Culcer struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ferdinand Armanca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zagavia. Zagavia's Damian Caranfil got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabin Chioreanu in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim Giurăscu saved Zagavia from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Jugani's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Torouţ came free, but Ferdinand Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
