Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cufuritul's Augustin Micescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filip Bârsan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Gârneață, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute Niculae Diaconu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Bârsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Marcel Petruț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nicolae Gârneață had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niculae Diaconu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Filip Bârsan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Max team FC booed when Cufuritul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Zbora didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Cufuritul got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Spârlea. Niculae Diaconu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Filip Bârsan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Bârsan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Gârneață in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cufuritul's goalkeeper Filip Bârsan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Nicolae Gârneață had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Max team FC's zone, Augustin Micescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavius Reznic came out of the goal and Augustin Micescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nistor Murgan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Flavius Reznic when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustin Micescu in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavius Reznic saved Max team FC from getting behind. Nistor Murgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavius Reznic having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Max team FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Diaconu to maneuver through the defense. When Nistor Murgan came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cufuritul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nistor Murgan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Micescu in the 63rd minute of play forced Max team FC's goalkeeper Flavius Reznic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Max team FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mihai Tulbure hit a great ball. Nicolae Gârneață sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niculae Diaconu struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Filip Bârsan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Max team FC. 70 minutes into the match, Cufuritul's Nistor Murgan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavius Reznic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Nistor Murgan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavius Reznic. Max team FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nistor Murgan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Micescu in the 75th minute of play forced Max team FC's goalkeeper Flavius Reznic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustin Micescu in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavius Reznic saved Max team FC from getting behind. Augustin Micescu scored 2-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavius Reznic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Niculae Diaconu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Nistor Murgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Nicolae Manciulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Augustin Micescu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Cufuritul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Micescu couldn't finish the play. Niculae Diaconu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Bârsan having to interfere. Nicolae Gârneață recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cufuritul's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
