Dinu Encuțescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Abutnăriței having to interfere. In the 17th minute Dinu Encuțescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Abutnăriței saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, F.C Voinicelul's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Encuțescu came free, but Romeo Abutnăriței reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to F.C Voinicelul getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Eric Agrigoroaiei hit a great ball. Romeo Abutnăriței made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Mereacre in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Dinu Encuțescu made a precise shot to the right of Romeo Abutnăriței. F.C Voinicelul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Florin Mercescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Octav Mereacre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Abutnăriței having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Dinu Encuțescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Funduri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Encuțescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, F.C Voinicelul's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Mereacre came free, but Romeo Abutnăriței reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florin Mercescu was the one to do the kick off. Gigi Tufescu's late challenge caught a F.C Voinicelul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gigi Tufescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Gigi Tufescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florin Mercescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Dinu Encuțescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeo Abutnăriței. F.C Voinicelul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinu Encuțescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 70 minutes, Gigi Braniște mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Funduri and the F.C Voinicelul players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of F.C Voinicelul booed when Funduri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Braniște didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Niculae Măcriș fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C Voinicelul's protests and gave Niculae Măcriș a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, F.C Voinicelul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Măcriș to maneuver through the defense. When Horaţiu Onciu fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C Voinicelul's protests and gave Horaţiu Onciu a yellow card for diving instead. Horaţiu Onciu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Romeo Abutnăriței made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinu Encuțescu in the 88th minute. Romeo Abutnăriței stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinu Encuțescu's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When Funduri's Octav Mereacre in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C Voinicelul's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Aurel Panait managed to get in a good position for a shot. Funduri's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Panait was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Abutnăriței breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The F.C Voinicelul fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Funduri were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
