Marin Emilianu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Balaban went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 11 minutes, Șerban Pădureanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smirdan and the F.C.Khlauss players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Smirdan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Pădureanu to maneuver through the defense. If Gheorghe Vasiloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of F.C.Khlauss booed when Smirdan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugurel Predescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Smirdan's Șerban Pădureanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marin Emilianu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isac Iovanovici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Iovanovici in the 32nd minute of play forced F.C.Khlauss's goalkeeper Marin Emilianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isac Iovanovici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Marin Emilianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marin Emilianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Iovanovici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Dan Balaban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marin Emilianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Isac Iovanovici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Emilianu having to interfere. Marin Emilianu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Șerban Pădureanu's shot from short distance in the 49th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silviu Şerb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Smirdan! Mugurel Mălaimare shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Marin Emilianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Iovanovici, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Dan Balaban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smirdan's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Balaban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marin Emilianu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isac Iovanovici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Emilianu having to interfere. F.C.Khlauss's Marin Emilianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Balaban in the 70th minute of play. Dumitru Ghițulescu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Dan Balaban dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marin Emilianu, 0-3. Gheorghe Vasiloiu struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Gică Cozmâncă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.Khlauss. Isac Iovanovici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Marin Emilianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Smirdan's Șerban Pădureanu pulled a muscle in his leg after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 94 minutes into the game, Petruț Gârdan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C.Khlauss's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smirdan the free kick. A collision led to F.C.Khlauss getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Petruț Gârdan hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Smirdan's Maxim Dobrinescu tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Smirdan players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
