Ionel Udurbac scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dorin Cezariu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Horea Măcrinici was a little too slow when Eduard Banciu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-1. Ionel Udurbac struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Dorin Cezariu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC BAYERN MUNCHEN. 21 minutes into the match, FC Știința's goal looked a bit too open when Ionel Udurbac came free, but Dorin Cezariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Lechințan succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. 30 minutes into the game, Nae Ţintă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Știința the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's Nae Ţintă got a free kick in the 30th minute. Dorin Cezariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Lechințan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Eduard Banciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Măcrinici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Știința's Dorin Cezariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Lechințan in the 47th minute of play.

In the 53rd minute, Eduard Banciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Iurie Mateianu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Știința's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BAYERN MUNCHEN the free kick. A collision led to FC Știința getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Iurie Mateianu hit a great ball. When Eduard Banciu came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC Știința fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduard Banciu couldn't finish the play. Eduard Banciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's goalkeeper Horea Măcrinici, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Lechințan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionel Udurbac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Dorin Cezariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Banciu in the 81st minute of play forced FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's goalkeeper Horea Măcrinici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristinel Diaconu took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horea Măcrinici. Horea Măcrinici dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Daniel Lechințan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Cezariu having to interfere. When Eduard Banciu came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC Știința fans jumped to their feet.
