Tungujei AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dan Balaban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Giuverdea in the 13th minute of play forced Smirdan's goalkeeper Gică Cozmâncă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Dan Balaban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octav Ciocoiu. Tungujei AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Balaban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Isac Iovanovici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octav Ciocoiu was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Dan Balaban capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dan Balaban really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. If Isac Iovanovici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Mugurel Predescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Octav Ciocoiu however easily saved by the left post. Isac Iovanovici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Octav Ciocoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tungujei AFC's Octav Ciocoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Balaban in the 40th minute of play. When Edgar Alexiu fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tungujei AFC's protests and gave Edgar Alexiu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tungujei AFC's Edgar Alexiu got a free kick in the 40th minute. Tungujei AFC's Octav Ciocoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Tungujei AFC from getting a goal against them. If Dan Balaban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isac Iovanovici got free with Octav Ciocoiu in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Octav Ciocoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Balaban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Smirdan's Isac Iovanovici got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Smirdan's Isac Iovanovici in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tungujei AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Tungujei AFC's Edgar Alexiu got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Edgar Alexiu off the ground. Dan Balaban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Isac Iovanovici came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Smirdan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Iovanovici couldn't finish the play. Dan Balaban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Dan Balaban left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Smirdan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tungujei AFC's zone, Isac Iovanovici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octav Ciocoiu came out of the goal and Isac Iovanovici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Smirdan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
