Spectators: 7320 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) Silviu Creteanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fc Bulgaria's Iordache Melinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Mărăscu in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 6 minutes, Marcel Mărăscu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santamaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Mărăscu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Fc Bulgaria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santamaria:s goal. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santamaria! The referee gave Fc Bulgaria a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gigel Cojan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santamaria's Iulian Seţeanu. 1-0. After 24 minutes of play, Santamaria's Octavian Rogozanu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iordache Melinescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27thth minute of the game Marcel Mărăscu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Bulgaria's Iordache Melinescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcel Mărăscu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Fc Bulgaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Busuioceanu to maneuver through the defense. Fc Bulgaria's Iordache Melinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Orășan in the 40th minute of play. Octavian Rogozanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iordache Melinescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavian Rogozanu ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, Fc Bulgaria's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Mărăscu came free, but Iordache Melinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavian Rogozanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Fc Bulgaria's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ion Trăilă who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Santamaria's Tudor Popa to fire away a dangerous shot which Iordache Melinescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 57th minute, Octavian Rogozanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcel Mărăscu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Iordache Melinescu made a huge save. Fc Bulgaria's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Octavian Rogozanu 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. If Octavian Rogozanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Marcel Mărăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fc Bulgaria's Iordache Melinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Rogozanu in the 68th minute of play. If Andrei Murărașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogdan Orășan kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Marcel Mărăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Ion Topală mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Bulgaria and the Santamaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Fc Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Ion Topală. In the 83rd minute Octavian Rogozanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iordache Melinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fc Bulgaria's Niculae Necula got a free kick in the 84th minute. Iulian Seţeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Creteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Fc Bulgaria fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santamaria were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
