Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Universitatea Craiova's Iordache Opriș started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Universitatea Craiova's Sebastian Nicolae proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save FC Universitatea Craiova from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Nicolae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Spârlea in the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, Codrin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Șişman to maneuver through the defense. Petruț Spârlea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sebastian Nicolae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Andrei Șişman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codrin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Șişman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Nicolae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 19 minutes of play, FC Universitatea Craiova's Cazimir Puric made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ionuț Spelbu was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Sebastian Nicolae managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Codrin FC's Petruț Spârlea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the game, Damian Cârstea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Universitatea Craiova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Codrin FC the free kick. Damian Cârstea hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Petruț Spârlea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codrin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Petruț Spârlea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A hard shot 31 in the game by Petruț Spârlea from a close distance when the talented Sebastian Nicolae managed to make a qualified save. FC Universitatea Craiova's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Codrin FC's Maxim Martin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastian Nicolae. That made the score 1-1 after 33 minutes of play. Sebastian Nicolae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Spârlea in the 36th minute of play. With his leg Sebastian Nicolae managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Codrin FC's Petruț Spârlea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Codrin FC's Petruț Spârlea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastian Nicolae. That made the score 2-1 after 41 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petruț Spârlea to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Universitatea Craiova's goalkeeper Sebastian Nicolae, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petruț Spârlea struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Sebastian Nicolae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codrin FC. A collision led to FC Universitatea Craiova getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cazimir Puric hit a great ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Petruț Spârlea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Universitatea Craiova's Sebastian Nicolae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Nicolae came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Codrin FC's Petruț Spârlea. But to his dismay, Petruț Spârlea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Sebastian Nicolae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Spârlea in the 75th minute of the match. Nicolae Leucuța's late challenge caught a Codrin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolae Leucuța helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolae Leucuța hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Andrei Șişman kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Petruț Spârlea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petruț Spârlea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petruț Spârlea struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Sebastian Nicolae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codrin FC. After a rather tough play, Codrin FC's Cristinel Popan got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Codrin FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
