Tiberiu Jucan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Patrichi got free with Manuel Cazacu in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Iepuresti CF's Dacian Şneapotă got a free kick in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as TheMoneyTeam's Lucrețiu Patrichi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Cazacu. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. In the 27th minute, Emil Grigorie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Cazacu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Patrichi in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Emil Grigorie put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tiberiu Jucan. Tiberiu Jucan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Grigorie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vasile Iordănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Grigorie in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiberiu Jucan saved TheMoneyTeam from getting behind. Lucrețiu Patrichi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Manuel Cazacu made a huge save. After the first half Iepuresti CF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucrețiu Patrichi was the one to do the kick off. When Andrei Urdăreanu came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the TheMoneyTeam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Urdăreanu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, TheMoneyTeam's Vintilă Udrescu got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Cristi Alexe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Doru Rada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iepuresti CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TheMoneyTeam the free kick. After 59 played minutes Iepuresti CF got a freekick which was hit by Doru Rada. In the 60th minute Andrei Urdăreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Cazacu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Andrei Urdăreanu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the TheMoneyTeam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Urdăreanu couldn't finish the play. Manuel Cazacu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Patrichi in the 66th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucrețiu Patrichi in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Cazacu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, TheMoneyTeam's Codrin Poalelungi got a free kick in the 77th minute. Vasile Iordănescu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Iepuresti CF's Gabriel Chilian shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tiberiu Jucan but with some difficulty. Lucrețiu Patrichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Manuel Cazacu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Iepuresti CF's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Patrichi came free, but Manuel Cazacu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Patrichi in the 97th minute of play forced Iepuresti CF's goalkeeper Manuel Cazacu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Iepuresti CF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Iepuresti CF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
