Spectators: 7460 (Terracing: 5596, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emilian Gliga took the kick off in the first half of the match. 1-0 became the score in the 3rd minute when Aron Buta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Doru Răuțu came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ploscuteni's Aristide Nicolaescu. But to his dismay, Aristide Nicolaescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augustin Frunză in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ion Savin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Gliga in the 23rd minute of play forced Ploscuteni's goalkeeper Ion Savin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doru Răuțu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aron Buta went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Ploscuteni getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ilie Măgură hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Catelesti CSS's Marin Mihădaș broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Augustin Frunză received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ion Savin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Catelesti CSS's Doru Răuțu got control of the ball when Aristide Nicolaescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilian Gliga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Savin having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Emilian Gliga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ion Savin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Augustin Frunză had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aron Buta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Doru Răuțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristide Nicolaescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Aron Buta made the kick off in the second half. Vintilă Gâfu's late challenge caught a Catelesti CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Gâfu helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Ploscuteni got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Gâfu. 64 minutes into the match, Catelesti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Buta came free, but Doru Răuțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ion Savin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Gliga in the 65th minute of the match. Augustin Frunză recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ion Savin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Fenici in the 72nd minute of play. Augustin Frunză received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ion Savin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Catelesti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Nicolaescu came free, but Doru Răuțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aristide Nicolaescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augustin Frunză fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Savin having to interfere. Ion Savin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Gliga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ploscuteni's Aristide Nicolaescu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augustin Frunză sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emilian Gliga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Savin having to interfere. Ploscuteni's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
