Traian Feraru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Opriș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Traian Feraru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Puric in the 13th minute of the match. Traian Feraru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Puric in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, FC Universitatea Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Cârstea to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Petruț Susara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Nicolae was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Sebastian Nicolae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Susara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Nicolae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Susara, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Iordache Opriș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haulisca AS's Traian Feraru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Nicolae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Susara in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Universitatea Craiova's zone, Petruț Susara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Nicolae came out of the goal and Petruț Susara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute Petruț Susara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Nicolae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Sergiu Moldoveanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Traian Feraru. Haulisca AS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergiu Moldoveanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Haulisca AS's Emilian Negoescu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Nicolae Leucuța hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Sergiu Moldoveanu charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergiu Moldoveanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, FC Universitatea Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiu Moldoveanu to maneuver through the defense. Petruț Susara might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Nicolae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petruț Susara ran back to his position shaking his head. Haulisca AS's Mugurel Mateescu got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Mugurel Mateescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Iordache Opriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Puric received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Traian Feraru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Haulisca AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Negoescu to maneuver through the defense. Haulisca AS's Mugurel Mateescu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Iordache Opriș came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC Universitatea Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iordache Opriș couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Universitatea Craiova booed when Haulisca AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Hălmăgeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Universitatea Craiova players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
