Ploscuteni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TheMoneyTeam the free kick. After 3 played minutes Ploscuteni got a freekick which was hit by Aron Buta. Ploscuteni's Ion Savin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Urdăreanu in the 5th minute of play. Lucrețiu Patrichi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 6th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Andrei Urdăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucrețiu Patrichi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Ion Savin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Andrei Urdăreanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ion Savin was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 13th minute of the match Dorin Comăneci sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiberiu Jucan skillfully saved the ball. TheMoneyTeam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Urdăreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ploscuteni's Cătălin Horia got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute Aristide Nicolaescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Jucan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucrețiu Patrichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ion Savin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Patrichi got free with Ion Savin in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Ploscuteni's goalkeeper Ion Savin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucrețiu Patrichi. Codrin Poalelungi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ion Savin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aron Buta was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrei Urdăreanu in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ion Savin saved Ploscuteni from getting behind. Lucrețiu Patrichi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ion Savin having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ploscuteni's zone, Codrin Poalelungi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Savin came out of the goal and Codrin Poalelungi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ploscuteni's Dorin Comăneci got a free kick in the 57th minute. Codrin Poalelungi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ion Savin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Lucrețiu Patrichi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ion Savin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ploscuteni getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ilie Măgură hit a great ball. Andrei Urdăreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Savin having to interfere. Tiberiu Jucan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Buta in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Patrichi in the 69th minute of play forced Ploscuteni's goalkeeper Ion Savin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Lucrețiu Patrichi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute Codrin Poalelungi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ion Savin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucrețiu Patrichi succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. When TheMoneyTeam's Lucrețiu Patrichi in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance. When Lucrețiu Patrichi came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the TheMoneyTeam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucrețiu Patrichi couldn't finish the play. Codrin Poalelungi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Savin having to interfere. Tiberiu Jucan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristide Nicolaescu in the 94th minute. TheMoneyTeam walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
