Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Aversa Colentina's Sebastian Brădescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Ferdinand Martinaș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Steaua United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ion Gherghescu was a little too slow when Radu Boldișor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 18th minute, Sebastian Brădescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Aversa Colentina getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Horia Bostan hit a great ball. Ştefan Tache kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Tiberiu Musceleanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Brezoi went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 33 minutes into the game, Ştefan Tache was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aversa Colentina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua United the free kick. 35 minutes into the match, Aversa Colentina's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Ghercioiu came free, but Tiberiu Musceleanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ion Gherghescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Brădescu in the 37th minute. Aversa Colentina's Tiberiu Musceleanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Martinaș in the 46th minute of play. George Brezoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Tiberiu Musceleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferdinand Martinaș made a kick off. Aversa Colentina were furious when Nicolae Lupea was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Aversa Colentina's Nicolae Lupea got a free kick in the 55th minute. Radu Sbârcea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiberiu Musceleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Martinaș in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Victor Ghercioiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiberiu Musceleanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Tiberiu Musceleanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ştefan Tache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Gherghescu having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Ferdinand Martinaș rounded Aversa Colentina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. With a little luck, Aversa Colentina's Tiberiu Musceleanu got control of the ball when Victor Ghercioiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radu Boldișor took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ion Gherghescu. Ion Gherghescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferdinand Martinaș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiberiu Musceleanu. That made the score 2-6 in the 89 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Radu Boldișor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aversa Colentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Radu Boldișor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Gherghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiberiu Musceleanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Cristian in the 98th minute of the match. Steaua United played a much better game than Aversa Colentina and deserved their victory. The Aversa Colentina players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
