Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Remus Panaite made the kick off which started today's match. 9 minutes into the game, Sandu Tarcea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Florin Borogeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Remus Panaite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Surugiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Schmitt having to interfere. When Teodor Vulcan fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Dinamo 1948's protests and gave Teodor Vulcan a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes FC Dinamo 1948 got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Vulcan. Vintilă Siclovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cesar Schmitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Sandu Tarcea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Borogeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Leontin Oprișor put in a rough tackle. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Dinamo 1948! In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for CS Minerul Lupeni. David Delin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Florin Borogeanu. 0-2. CS Minerul Lupeni's Cesar Schmitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save CS Minerul Lupeni from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, FC Dinamo 1948's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Panaite came free, but Florin Borogeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandu Tarcea in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Borogeanu saved FC Dinamo 1948 from getting behind. If Sandu Tarcea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half CS Minerul Lupeni were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cesar Schmitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vintilă Siclovan in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match Kurtuluş Şahsar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florin Borogeanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Remus Panaite struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Florin Borogeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CS Minerul Lupeni. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Nisipeanu in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Borogeanu saved FC Dinamo 1948 from getting behind. Florin Borogeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Tarcea in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute of the match Fabian Târban shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Schmitt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 71 played minutes FC Dinamo 1948 got a freekick which was hit by Denis Surugiu. 74 minutes into the game, Sandu Tarcea lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Florin Borogeanu. 78 minutes into the game, Remus Panaite recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florin Borogeanu. Remus Panaite showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Vintilă Siclovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Cesar Schmitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandu Tarcea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florin Borogeanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. FC Dinamo 1948's Florin Borogeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Panaite in the 89th minute of play. Sandu Tarcea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Borogeanu having to interfere. CS Minerul Lupeni's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
