Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) F.C. CEAHLAUL's Manole Siniştean started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Manole Siniştean managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. CEAHLAUL's supporters rose to their feet, but Manole Siniştean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horaţiu Hapaina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tractorul Mehedinti's zone, Manole Siniştean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Hapaina came out of the goal and Manole Siniştean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, FC Tractorul Mehedinti's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Siniştean came free, but Horaţiu Hapaina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narcis Oravițan took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horaţiu Hapaina. Horaţiu Hapaina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Manole Predoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manole Siniştean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Horaţiu Hapaina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Marin Roșeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Tractorul Mehedinti's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Roșeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Papaiani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manole Predoiu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Papaiani saved F.C. CEAHLAUL from getting behind. 42 minutes into the game, Narcis Oravițan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Horaţiu Hapaina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Alex Papaiani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Predoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Avram Muraru came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the FC Tractorul Mehedinti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Avram Muraru couldn't finish the play. Alex Papaiani made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Avram Muraru sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Tractorul Mehedinti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C. CEAHLAUL.
