The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remus Calboreanu during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cainii Rosii Zalau's Remus Calboreanu got a free kick in the 5th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Nicodim Agachi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cainii Rosii Zalau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dinamo 1948 the free kick. Vintilă Siclovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Nicorici having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Surugiu in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Nicorici saved Cainii Rosii Zalau from getting behind. Sebastian Avarvarei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Florin Borogeanu made a huge save. Denis Surugiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vintilă Siclovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. David Nicorici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Denis Surugiu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Nicorici. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denis Surugiu made a kick off. Vintilă Siclovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. David Nicorici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes, Cainii Rosii Zalau's Panait Vârjean shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florin Borogeanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cainii Rosii Zalau reached it. If Vintilă Siclovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Petrică Homescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cainii Rosii Zalau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dinamo 1948 the free kick. 68 minutes into the game, Edgar Dănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Florin Borogeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Cainii Rosii Zalau's David Nicorici got control of the ball when Denis Surugiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Cainii Rosii Zalau's goalkeeper David Nicorici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iosif Frântu. In the 82nd minute Edgar Dănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Borogeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Nicorici was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denis Surugiu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 85 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Denis Surugiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dinamo 1948's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Surugiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Nicorici breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Vulcan in the 97th minute of play forced Cainii Rosii Zalau's goalkeeper David Nicorici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Dinamo 1948's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
