Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mircea Zberea started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mircea Zberea scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rareș Dumitru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mircea Zberea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Dumitru having to interfere. Iosif Drăgoescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Apostolescu in the 13th minute of the match. Ovidiu Dabija recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Panaiteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Potingani FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Zberea came free, but Rareș Dumitru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rareș Dumitru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Zberea in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Doru Lovinescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sever Răuțchi got free with Iosif Drăgoescu in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristi Barboni might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iosif Drăgoescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristi Barboni ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Colnago Mexico 72's goalkeeper Iosif Drăgoescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ovidiu Dabija. Iosif Drăgoescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Apostolescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinu Panaiteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Dumitru having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Henrik Hjeltman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinu Panaiteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dinu Panaiteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Colnago Mexico 72's Iosif Drăgoescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Apostolescu in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Colnago Mexico 72 booed when Potingani FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Barboni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrik Hjeltman might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rareș Dumitru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrik Hjeltman ran back to his position shaking his head. Potingani FCM's Rareș Dumitru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Potingani FCM from getting a goal against them. After 75 played minutes Colnago Mexico 72 got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Panaiteanu. Iosif Drăgoescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidiu Dabija, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Mircea Zberea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rareș Dumitru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 in the game Colnago Mexico 72's Silviu Colceriu showed how dangerous he can be in front of the goal when he by his own managed to get a clear opportunity for a shot. The following shot went just left of the goal. In the 88th match minute, Potingani FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Barboni to maneuver through the defense. Mircea Zberea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Dinu Panaiteanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colnago Mexico 72's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinu Panaiteanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rareș Dumitru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dinu Panaiteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colnago Mexico 72's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
